Community

Each week, the company provides free medical services, doctor visits and dental care to the 10 neighbouring communities. We have paved roads, built sewage lines and flood drains to better the lives of the citizens of Cerro San Pedro and the surrounding communities. We supply the town of San Pedro with approx $130,000 a year or approx. 15% of the total municipal budget. We also sponsor various baseball and soccer teams.

Environment

Cerro San Pedro has engaged in the reforestation of 400 Hectares outside the mine site. The company has also raised more than 31,000 indigenous plants to be used for reclamation. As a natural resource company, we take our responsibility for the land seriously. We integrate reclamation into every phase of mining. Great care is being taken to ensure that the land is restored to a natural and productive state once mining is complete.
