Afton Copper-Gold Zone Extended 400 Feet

Vancouver, B.C., October 23, 2002 - DRC Resources (DRC - TSX Venture) is pleased to report the following results:
Diamond Drill Hole 2K02-62 has extended the Afton Main Mineral Zone 120 metres (400 ft) beyond the 2000-2001 indicated mineral resource boundary of 37.7 million tons of 2.32% Copper Equivalent. (Reference: April 25, 2002 Press Release, Afton Mineral Resource Study) To date the Copper-Gold Mineralization has been traced over an overall length of 1000 metres (3300 ft) and is still open.

DDH 2K02-62 @ -69°/125° assayed 2.21% Copper Equivalent for a 78 metre (255 ft) drill core length across the mineral zone.
